- We can’t forget about this ‘fine citizen:’ Federal authorities have arrested Proud Boy Hawaii founder and alt-right media personality Nick Ochs in connection with the deadly pro-Trump rampage through the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.
- Hopefully, we can add a few more people to the list of arrests or at least they lose their jobs:
- Miya Ponsetto, the woman caught on film attacking and falsely accusing the Black son of a prominent jazz musician of stealing her phone defended herself in a wild interview on Friday, insisting race had nothing to do with the altercation.
- Bradley Rukstales, who was arrested on a charge of unlawful entry after he participated in the mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol, told an Illinois news outlet that he is “deeply regretful.”
Hopefully, we won’t have Insurrection 2.0:
- A total of 6,200 National Guardsmen will be mobilized in Washington D.C. over the next few days in order to help secure the peaceful transfer of power during President-elect Joe Biden‘s inauguration ceremony on January 20.

COVID-19:
- President-elect Joe Biden wants to release more COVID-19 vaccine doses immediately to administer as many shots as possible.
- This would be a departure from the Operation Warp Speed plan to hold back enough to make sure everyone who gets a first vaccination gets a second dose in the FDA’s recommended time frame.
- Dr. Anthony Fauci, the U.S. government’s top infectious disease specialist, has suggested that Americans could wear masks for “at least” 100 days after Joe Biden is inaugurated as president.
Congress:

A White House in disarray:
- White House counsel Pat Cipollone is considering resigning, sources familiar with his thinking tell CNN. Since the election, he had considered it multiple times but has been urged to stay for the good of the country by members of the Senate and the Cabinet.
President Elect Biden:
- President-elect Joe Biden on Friday called on the Senate to confirm key Cabinet officials as close to Inauguration Day as possible, arguing there is greater urgency given the economic strain of the coronavirus pandemic and the violence at the Capitol this week.
- The Senate has yet to take action on any of Biden’s picks for his Cabinet, and the president-elect is poised to take office Jan. 20 without a single agency leader confirmed to their role.
