In an interview with Gabe Gutierrez on TODAY, Adelia Johnson who once dated the gunman, Connor Betts, that “killed nine people and wounded more than 30 others outside a bar in Dayton, Ohio,” claimed she saw the warning signs but does not believe the attack was racially motivated. Of the nine people who lost their lives early Sunday morning, six were African-American.
“This isn’t about race, this isn’t about religion, it’s none of those things. This is a man who was in pain and didn’t get the help that he needed.”

Johnson said that on their first date, Betts shared a video with her on mass shootings and took her to a gun range.

Former classmates claim Betts was suspended from high school for “compiling a “hit list” of those he wanted to kill and a “rape list” of girls he wanted to sexually assault.”
