After getting the boot from both Facebook and Twitter, the Former Guy hasn’t had a lot of social media presence where he can spew his hate, lies, threats, ignorance, and attack his enemies. He’s phoned in to Fox ‘News’ shows and OAN but he just can’t reach the number of people he once did when he had his Twitter account.
“We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced,” Trump said in the statement.

Shortly after getting the boot, TFG launched a blog called “From the Desk of Donald Trump.” But as The Washington Post and others reported, the site had low readership. The blog shuttered after 29 days amid reports that Trump was upset by media coverage about its small audience.
Now Trump Media and Technology Group and Digital World Acquisition Group, which is already listed on the Nasdaq, have entered into a merger to form a new company, chaired by TFG.
The new platform will feature TRUTH Social, a social media platform TFG claims will become “a rival to the liberal media consortium.”
“I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech,” Trump said. “Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!”

According to the release, the company was formed using a special purpose acquisition company, or SPAC, which the Securities and Exchange Commission’s website says is a “popular vehicle for various transactions, including transitioning a company from a private company to a publicly traded company.” The SEC says these companies are often referred to as “blank check companies.”

TFG has billed his new, bigly platform as a ‘free speech’ initiative. But as Brad Heath from Reuters pointed out, posting disparaging comments about his new, bigly platform will get you booted off of it.

Besides TRUTH Social, TFG intends to launch a streaming service that features “‘non-woke’ entertainment programming, news, podcasts, and more.”
The bigly, new social media platform that will undoubtedly rival all other bigly, social media platforms is set to launch in beta form to invited guests in November and be available in full next year.
