Trump again tries to take credit for Veterans Choice, which was passed during the Obama Administration in 2014
Donald Trump is back to repeating the claim that he passed Veterans Choice, despite the fact that it was signed into law by Barack Obama in 2014.
Trump: I also signed—about 59 years they’ve been trying to get this one, VA Choice, which made it permanent so that veterans can get medical care from the private healthcare provider of their choice… We made a deal that nobody said could be made, and we got it passed in Congress, believe it or not. The Republican Congress did a great job.
When Trump was challenged on this claim by a reporter in 2020, he abruptly ended his press conference and walked out.
