Three Ukrainian officials were indicted on treason charges, according to a statement from Ukraine officials on Monday.
Two politicians and a former prosecutor were accused of colluding with a Russian intelligence operation to help America’s Mayor Rudy Giuliani find dirt on Hunter Biden during the 2020 presidential election.
“The main task of this organization is to shake the socio-political situation in Ukraine and discredit our state in the international arena,” Ukrainian Security Services (SBU) said in a statement. “For this, the group received money from military intelligence of the [Russian Federation.]”
The Hill
Ukrainian Parliament member Oleksandr Dubinsky, along with former member of parliament Andriy Derkach and former prosecutor Kostiantyn Kulyk, were part of a network that received more than $10 million from the military intelligence of the Russian Federation (GRU).

Ukraine officials say that Dubinsky, guided by GRU, spread fake news about Ukraine’s military and political leadership, including claims that high-ranking Ukrainian officials were interfering in U.S. presidential elections.
Dubinsky met Rudy-Colludy in Kyiv in December 2019, when Giuliani was filming a documentary aiming to discredit the Former Guy’s impeachment over a “perfect phone call” to President Zelensky.
If convicted, the charges carry a 15-year sentence. Dubinsky confirmed he is to be held in custody until January 2024, while Derkach and Kulyk have fled the country.
