And another MAGAt faces consequences for his involvement in the January 6 insurrection:
Gene Stilp, an individual and voter in Pennsylvania’s 10th Congressional District, has filed suit against former chairman of the House Freedom Caucus and a key figure in the January 6 insurrection, Scott Perry and the Secretary of State Albert Schmidt, to remove the MAGAt from Pennsylvania’s primary ballot.
The lawsuit alleges that Perry engaged in a conspiracy to incite a violent insurrection on January 6, 2021. It was filed by a local Democratic activist and comes just weeks after Special Counsel Jack Smith obtained Perry’s personal text messages in furtherance of his investigation into January 6, 2021.
The suit also alleges the Secretary of State has a duty to decide who can and cannot be on the state’s ballot.
This latest news comes amid a significant legal battle over the meaning of the 14th Amendment.
