Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett said on Sunday that she has no regrets for standing up to the personal insults hurled by Marjorie Taylor Greene during an incendiary Thursday evening committee hearing.
Greene asked Democratic members of the House Oversight committee whether any of them are employing the daughter of the judge overseeing former President Trump’s hush money case.
And that’s how the fight started.
“Please tell me what that has to do with Merrick Garland,” Crockett responded at the time, adding, “do you know what we’re here for?”
“I don’t think you know what you’re here for,” Greene responded. “I think your fake eyelashes are messing up what you’re reading.”
Later Ms. Crockett explained further how and why the committee meeting devolved into personal insults.
Ms. Crockett was also unapologetic for taking the opportunity to sell merchandise about her comments to Greene, to the benefit of Democrats.
The internet has since erupted with support for Jasmine.
I have to admit the alliteration of the “Bleach Blonde Bad Built Butch Body” theme prompted another earworm for me, personally. I hear this whenever I see the B6 commentary.
