Walz and his wife, Gwen, have two children, Hope and Gus who were conceived through IVF—Walz has said, “There’s a reason we named her Hope.”
The couple met when both taught high school in Nebraska. Gwen was irked by his loud voice disrupting her classroom. Having been a geography teacher for over 20 years, Tim loves maps.
