Trump Talks Crime to Small Group in KKK Capital of Michigan

Trump spent approximately 50 minutes talking about a bigly crime wave to a group of sheriffs and a gaggle of media on Tuesday in Howell, Michigan, a city with historic ties to the Ku Klux Klan.

Anyway… back to crimes and over-estimations…

Trump cited inflated crime numbers, blaming the “open border” policies of the Biden-Harris administration.

“Since Kamala Harris took office … she’s presided over a 43% increase in violent crime,” said Trump, adding that his numbers were backed by data put out by her own administration.

But in fact, no such increase has taken place.

Violent crime spiked during the pandemic, both in the U.S. and in Michigan, but has been dropping since then, according to data compiled by the FBI.

Trump blathered on about other things to a very low energy audience.

Here are some of the Trump supporters who showed up to wave at Trump as he drove past them to his safe space with bigly sheriffs behind him.

Before Trump took to the microphone in Detroit, and before Michelle and Barack Obama took the stage in Chicago, Trump made some very interesting remarks about his own predecessor, the 44th President, and his wife.
