RFK Jr’s Daughter Says Her Dad Beheaded a Beached Whale With a Chainsaw

Brainworms and roadkill not weird enough?

RFK Jr: Hold my bear, please.

Robert Kennedy Jr’s daughter told a whale of a story more than a decade ago, but with the weirdness surrounding the former presidential candidate, it’s getting a good share of attention on social media today.

Apparently Kennedy’s 36-year-old daughter Kick Kennedy has been seen with Ben Affleck, recently separated from Jennifer Lopez, and inquiring minds needed to know more.

An article from Town & Country Magazine from 2012 resurfaced, when Kick Kennedy was a “budding actress.”

Like her father, Kick Kennedy was an extreme environmentalist, and told the tale of once going to the beach with her dad and a chainsaw when she was six. Just “normal day-to-day stuff.”

Kick's taste for the extreme was fed by her dad's eccentric environmentalism. Exhibit A: When she was six, word got out that a dead whale had washed up on Squaw Island in Hyannis Port. Bobby — who likes to study animal skulls and skeletons — ran down to the beach with a chainsaw, cut off the whale's head, and then bungee-corded it to the roof of the family minivan for the five-hour haul back to Mount Kisco, New York. "Every time we accelerated on the highway, whale juice would pour into the windows of the car, and it was the rankest thing on the planet," Kick recalls. "We all had plastic bags over our heads with mouth holes cut out, and people on the highway were giving us the finger, but that was just normal day-to-day stuff for us." -- Town and Country

Kick, named after great-aunt Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy Cavendish, is the daughter of Kennedy and Emily Black, his first wife.

Kennedy and Black wed in 1982, but separated a decade later over an affair Kennedy had with the woman who was to become his second wife, Mary Richardson. Richardson, whom Kennedy divorced in 2010, died by suicide in May 2012, seven months before Town & Country profiled Kick.
