Not only has Trump allegedly used the power of the presidency to pressure a foreign country to dig up dirt on a few of his political opponents, Bloomberg reports that Trump also pressured Secretary of State Rex Tillerson “to drop a criminal case against an Iranian-Turkish gold trader who was a client of Rudy Giuliani, according to three people familiar with the 2017 meeting in the Oval Office “
Tillerson refused Trump’s request stating it would interfere with an ongoing criminal investigation. Tillerson also expressed his outrage to General Kelly ’emphasizing that the request would be illegal.’
Although no on reported either incident, those privy to the conversations were very shocked by it.
Neither the White House, or Rex Tillerson and John Kelly’s representatives cared to comment on this lates development.
