Suspect was registered independent with a criminal record
In 2016, Joshua Jahn was charged in Texas with delivering marijuana in an amount greater than ¼ ounce but less than 5 pounds, which is a felony. He pleaded guilty, records show. He was a registered independent and last voted in November 2024, according to public records.
Jahn has recently been associated with an address in Oklahoma, with previous residences listed in Texas, according to records.
State criminal records describe Jahn as a male with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 210 pounds. The records also stated he was born in Texas.

Grocery prices are rising as beef, coffee hit record highs
About half of all Americans say the cost of groceries is a major source of stress in their life and the latest inflation data shows that pressure isn’t easing.
Grocery prices rose 0.6 percent from July to August, the steepest one-month gain in roughly three years, according to the Consumer Price Index. They’re now 2.7 percent higher than a year ago and up nearly 30 percent from before the pandemic.
“Under my leadership … grocery prices are down, mortgage rates are down, and inflation has been defeated.”
The trends are mixed.
Overall grocery prices are up 2.7% compared with August 2024.
Mortgage rates are down, from 6.96% when Trump was sworn in to 6.26% today.
Inflation is 2.9%, with rates rising for the last four consecutive months.
