South Carolina Senator Tim Scott shared his thoughts on Nancy Mace’s unhinged airport tirade when she berated airport security officials, insisting that they would “never treat Tim Scott like this.”
Mace called the Charleston airport police officers “f***ing incompetent,” and has posted about the incident on social media more than a dozen times, calling for resignations.
In a Facebook post, the Senator said he was unsure why Mace invoked his name (“for reasons unknown”) in her beef with airport security, saying his interactions at the airport were always positive, long before he was a member of Congress. Scott said he has also faced death threats and is grateful for the actions of the airport security team. “For those who want to invoke my name, please have the courtesy to note my actions and how I treat police officers, TSA agents, and fellow travelers with the respect they deserve,” Scott wrote in the post.
“It is never acceptable to berate police officers, airport staff, and TSA agents who are simply doing their jobs, nor is it becoming of a Member of Congress to use such vulgar language when dealing with constituents. Not only are these officers sworn to protect us, but we also take an oath to represent them. We work for them, not vice versa.”
Lindsey Graham also backed up Tim Scott’s statement.
And still, Nancy Mace can’t help herself, insisting she wants to HOLD THE LINE.
