On Tuesday evening, The Fascist Felon disrupted primetime television by delivering a speech to the nation that came off more like an angry, rant filled, ‘old man shouts at the sky,’ 18 minute, partisan infomercial.
Below are some Fact Checks of Trump’s claims numerous lies:
Politifact:
After rising during Biden’s final two years, consumer sentiment has fallen under Trump

- Claim: “Inflation has stopped, wages are up, prices are down.”
- Fact: Wages are up. Prices, which are measured by inflation rates, aren’t down.
The most recent inflation data — which will be superseded by new data released Dec. 18 — shows that prices increased by 3% year over year in September. That’s not zero, and it’s above the Federal Reserve’s target of 2% inflation. It’s also exactly where year-over-year inflation stood when Trump took office in January.

Full Disclosure:
November consumer prices rose at a 2.7% annual rate, lower than expected, delayed data shows
- The consumer price index rose at a 2.7% annualized rate last month, a delayed report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics showed.
- Economists polled by Dow Jones expected the CPI to have risen 3.1%.
- The core CPI, which strips out volatile food and energy prices, was also cooler than anticipated, increasing 2.6% over 12 months.
This is the first report that encompasses the period during which the U.S. government was shut down. The stoppage disrupted the data collection process in that time. It also led to the cancellation of the October CPI release. This data was originally expected to be released Dec. 10.
- Claim: “I have worked to “slash prices on drugs and pharmaceuticals by as much as 400, 500, and even 600%”
- Fact: Mathematically Impossible-McMath Moment
Don’t Hold Your Breath:
- Claim: “In honor of our nation’s founding in 1776, we are sending every soldier $1,776.”
- Fact: The cost for more than 1.45 million service members to receive these checks would come to $2.58 billion. It was not immediately clear where that money would come from, though Trump said, “We made a lot more money than anybody thought” from tariffs.
- If Trump’s tariffs remain in place for all of 2026, they would generate $191 billion in revenue that year, according to the center-right Tax Foundation.
- McMath!
NBC:
- Claim: “Under former President Joe Biden, “our border was open, and because of this, our country was being invaded by an army of 25 million people, many who came from prisons and jails, mental institutions and insane asylums.”
- Fact: The claim is false. In reality, 7.4 million undocumented immigrants crossed the border outside of legal checkpoints during the Biden administration, according to data from Customs and Border Protection.
