A British public broadcaster annually offers an “Alternative Christmas Message” to the monarch’s Christmas message by choosing a high-profile figure.
This year that message was delivered by Jimmy Kimmel to the audience of Britain’s Channel 4.
Kimmel admitted in his message that he was not aware of the issues in the UK, but declared that tyranny was booming across the pond with Donald Trump at the helm.
Explaining that the American government attacked him and tried to remove his public voice and Kimmel’s show after ill-perceived conservative outrage over Charlie Kirk commentary, Kimmel declared victory over Trump’s threats against ABC and himself.
Jimmy called it a Christmas miracle.
“We won, the president lost, and now I’m back on the air every night giving the most powerful politician on earth a right and richly deserved bollocking,” he said.

Kimmel also offered his apologies and pleaded for patience with his country, where many are not like Trump.
“Here in the United States right now, we are both figuratively and literally tearing down the structures of our democracy from the free press to science to medicine to judicial independence to the actual White House itself,” Kimmel said, in reference to demolition of the building’s East Wing. “We are a right mess, and we know this is also affecting you, and I just wanted to say sorry.”
