Josh Hawley Tries Sucking Up to Trump After Backing the War Powers Act

Missouri Senator Josh Hawley found himself showing some love for Trump after backing the Senate War Powers Resolution that would check Trump’s ability to send military to Venezuela without Congressional approval.

Trump attacked five GOP Senators who voted with Democrats in favor of advancing the resolution, calling for them to never be elected again. One of them was Josh Hawley.

The vote on the resolution is expected next week in the Senate and would need to pass the House test before being sent to Trump’s desk.

Josh isn’t up for re-election until 2030.
