President Donald Trump shared a 2020 election conspiracy video to Truth Social on Thursday night that briefly depicts former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama as apes.
White House Shrugs Off ‘Fake Outrage’ Over Trump Post Depicting Obamas as Apes
Responding on Friday, Leavitt defended the post in comment to PBS and said the controversial clip was from a meme that had depicted Trump as “King of the Jungle” over other lawmakers.
This is from an Internet meme video depicting President Trump as the King of the Jungle and Democrats as characters from ‘The Lion King. ’Please stop the fake outrage and report on something today that actually matters to the American public.
The longer version of the video, first published online in October by the same X account as that watermarked onto the video Trump shared, casts the president as a lion while portraying prominent Democrats and liberals as animal characters from Disney’s The Lion King. That longer video also depicts Hillary Clinton as a warthog and New York mayor Zohran Mamdani as a hyena.

No ICE at the Super Bowl? Bay Area communities aren’t buying it.
SAN FRANCISCO – Despite repeated assurances from the NFL and federal, and local leaders that there will be no ICE presence in and around the Super Bowl, Gabby Chavez-Lopez simply isn’t buying it.
“Can you really blame us?” said Chavez-Lopez, executive director of the Latina Coalition of Silicon Valley, a nonprofit based in San Jose, California, a city that has seen its share of immigration enforcement operations. She won’t take them at their word, she said: “Not with this presidential administration, and not with ICE in particular.”

Border Patrol boss Gregory Bovino tossed from Las Vegas bar
Former U.S. Border Patrol Commander-at-Large Gregory Bovino was reportedly asked to leave a Las Vegas bar out of safety concerns for the venue’s customers.
Days after being removed from his post in Minneapolis, Bovino headed to Sin City, where he was spotted drinking wine at the multi-level Bottled Blonde sports bar on the Las Vegas Strip.
A representative from the establishment told the Daily Beast that the 55-year-old officer is no longer welcome there.
“Upon becoming aware of the individual’s presence, the patron was asked to leave the premises and was escorted out by staff in accordance with venue policy to maintain a safe and orderly environment for all patrons,” the venue said.
