Shortly after SCOTUS struck down Trump’s tariffs, C-SPAN opened up its phone lines and took a call from an incensed man from Virginia who identified himself as “John Barron.”
“John in Virginia, Republican, let’s hear from you,” said CSPAN host Greta Brawner.
The caller went on to say the SCOTUS decision was terrible, that Hakeem Jeffries was a “dope,” and that Chuck Schumer couldn’t cook a cheeseburger.
The CSPAN host cut the caller off after 32 seconds.
Donald Trump was known in the 80s and 90s for using the alias “John Barron” when calling in to plant stories with journalists.
While the call is not fake, there is no confirmation as to the true identity of the caller at this time.
