Trump Invites Gold Medal Hockey Team to the State of the Union

Donald Trump invited the USA Olympic hockey team to be guests at Tuesday’s State of the Union Address, with FBI Director Kash Patel adding he would “drive the bus,” facilitating the venture.

Videos of Kash Patel in the locker room, sucking the joy out of a gold medal victory for the US team and chugging beers with team members in the locker room, went viral on Sunday.

“I’ll tell you what – I just told my people two minutes ago. I said, we’re giving the State of the Union speech on Tuesday night,” Trump said. “We could send a military plane or something. But if you would like to [attend], it’s the coolest night.”

Trump also added a disclaimer to the invite, warning the mens’ team that he would be obligated to also invite the womens’ team, who also won a gold medal.

“I must tell you, we’re going to have to bring the women’s team,” he said. “You do know that. I do believe I’d probably would be impeached [if the women’s team wasn’t invited].”

US captain Auston Matthews said the team had not yet determined whether they could accept, citing the quick turnaround before the NHL season resumes Wednesday.

On Monday, Trump posted an AI video to Truth Social that made the victory of the hockey team all about himself.

FB(googly)EYE Director Patel arrived in Milan on Thursday, joining the team in the locker room after watching the game from a suite with snowboarder Nick Baumgartner. Patel’s Pentagon biography notes he is a life-long hockey fan, player, and coach.
