Hillary Clinton is Deposed Today in Chappaqua, New York

James Comer’s chosen members of the House Oversight Committee are deposing Hillary Clinton today at a performing arts center in Chappaqua, New York, near the Clintons’ home.

After initially refusing to comply with subpoenas and calling them invalid and legally unenforceable, Hillary will sit in front of cameras to be questioned about her knowledge of Epstein and Maxwell, while Bill’s turn is on Friday.

The Clintons asked to be allowed to testify in public. The committee declined, opting instead for a closed-door proceeding.

Hillary has said they have little information to offer the panel.

Hillary has stated previously she does not think she ever met Epstein, but she did know Ghislaine Maxwell.

Maxwell told Deputy AG Todd Blanche in an unprecedented interview, “President Clinton was my friend, not Epstein’s friend,” and that she was the one who asked Epstein to let Bill Clinton and other foundation members and guests use his plane in 2002.

Maxwell was “very close” friends with billionaire Ted Waitt, whom she dated from 2003 to 2010, she told Blanche.

Maxwell also said she met Hillary Clinton at some point in either Nantucket or Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, and “I went to the house in Chappaqua a few times.”

Maxwell and Waitt both attended Chelsea Clinton’s wedding in 2010.

The Clintons have been the focus of many outlandish conspiracy theories and accusations.

When the Republican House was impeaching Bill in 1998, the GOP lost five seats in the House midterm elections, unseating Speaker Newt Gingrich. Gingrich’s own daughters implored him to not attack Clinton, saying,  “Don’t pick a fight. This economy is really good.” Clinton’s approval rating, meanwhile, hit an all-time high of 73 percent in the Gallup poll the week he was impeached.
