Oversight Committee Releases Videos of Clinton Depositions

A quick reminder regarding the House Oversight Committee’s efforts to investigate the Epstein files:

On Monday, the oversight committee released complete videos of the depositions of Bill and Hillary Clinton, as both witnesses sat for approximately four and a half hours, each answering questions after being threatened with contempt of Congress.

Hillary Clinton said she never met Jeffrey Epstein, but did know Ghislaine Maxwell as a casual acquaintance.

Below are excerpts of Hillary’s testimony as she sets out to torch the Republicans’ lack of investigative fervor for those who are most often mentioned in the Epstein files.

Here Secretary Clinton gets spicy with Lauren Boebert as the discovery of the publicly posted photo of her is brought to light. Boebert reverses course on the published photo, but also gets burned by Hillary over her Pizzagate line of questioning.

Not to be outdone by Boebert, Nancy Mace jumps in with her interrogation. Hillary answers respectfully as Mace throws around her own victimhood again.

Hillary Clinton’s Full Deposition:

Former President Bill Clinton stated, “I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong.” Bill told the committee he met Epstein in 2001 or 2002 after having left the White House.

Clinton said he was introduced by Larry Summers, his onetime Treasury Secretary, and described the relationship with Epstein as cordial, but would not describe him as a friend. Clinton said the travel on Epstein’s plane was related to his humanitarian work for the Clinton Foundation.

“I thought we had an understanding about the airplane that —that he would let me use the airplane to set up my AIDS program around the world if I agreed to talk to him about economics and politics.”

Bill Clinton told the committee that initially, he thought Epstein was “an interesting man.” But he said, “there’s nothing that I saw when I was around him that made me realize he was trafficking women.” Clinton said he never witnessed Epstein abuse young women or girls, nor did he discuss sexual acts with him.

Clinton enlightened the committee on the context of the hot tub photo.

Bill Clinton’s Full Deposition:

Bill Clinton says he agreed to testify because, “America was built on the idea that no person is above the law, even presidents – especially presidents.”

Democrats can now utilize the precedent set by President Clinton as the Republicans were set to hold a president, and his wife, in contempt.

Jessica Tarlov labels it the Clinton Rule.
