Today in Fascism: Trump Threatens to Jail People for Burning the Flag; Possible Military Deployment to US Cities

Although it is already settled law and highly unconstitutional but that’s our Trump, The Fascist Felon has ordered ICE, his personal law enforcement agency, Border Patrol and ‘law enforcement’ to enforce his August 25, 2024 executive order (EO) and jail people for up to one year (misdemeanor territory) if they burn the US flag.

Trump calls for ICE and other cops to enforce his executive order banning flag burning, something that’s blatantly unconstitutional given Texas v Johnson (1989), which established flag burning as protected speech.

***Is this what you voted for, MAGAts?

When The Fascist Felon signed the EO he said, without evidence, that burning the flag “incites riots” and makes “people go crazy” at “levels we’ve never seen before.”

The Supreme Court ruled that burning the American flag is a constitutionally protected form of free speech in 1989. Famously, the late Judge Antonin Scalia, an icon among conservatives, maintained that flag burning was a constitutional form of free speech.

Following the assassination of the now deceased, dead Nazi, Charlie Kirk, The Fascist Felon issued the infamous NSPM-7 memo that outlined various thought crimes as evidence of “domestic terrorism.” These include, “anti-Americanism, anti-capitalism, and anti-Christianity; support for the overthrow of the United States Government; extremism on migration, race, and gender; and hostility towards those who hold traditional American views on family, religion, and morality.”

Anthony Salisbury, a top deputy to White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, was reportedly exchanging messages with War Secretary Pete Hegseth’s adviser Patrick Weaver over Signal in a crowded public space last weekend while traveling in Minnesota to a family funeral.

What did the merry band of Nazis discuss?

On Friday night, The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported that it had received screenshots of messages between Anthony Salisbury, who is a deputy of White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, and other administration officials. The publication said that Salisbury was exchanging messages in a public place “in clear view of others” last weekend. Some of those discussions involved the potential deployment of the 82nd Airborne Division to Portland, Oregon:

The messages, casually exchanged last weekend in a crowded, public space, show high-level officials in the Trump administration discussing the deployment of the Army’s 82nd Airborne, an infantry division that has been parachuted into combat zones in both world wars, Vietnam and Afghanistan. If the administration were to send in the Army division, it would almost certainly be challenged in court under federal laws limiting how the military can be used domestically.

The Trump administration opted to send 200 National Guard members to Portland instead. City and Oregon state officials are suing over the deployment.

Leavitt: "President Trump will end the radical left's reign of terror in Portland once and for all. The president has directed Secretary Hegseth to provide all necessary troops to protect war-ravaged Portland."

FBI agent relieved of duty over refusing Comey perp walk, four people familiar say

WASHINGTON, Oct 3 (Reuters) – An FBI agent was relieved of duty for declining to arrange a “perp walk” of the bureau’s former director, James Comey, in front of news media cameras after Comey was federally charged last month, four people briefed on the matter said on Friday.

Comey was charged on September 25 with making false statements and obstructing a congressional investigation, in a dramatic escalation of President Donald Trump’s retribution campaign against his political enemies.
