Hello all, it’s Week 41 of a 52 week year, we can all say, “we’ve made it this far. . . .” Remember Week 1 of 2025? Week 10, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.? We have kept trudging, and we’re about to reach critical mass. Soon something will blow the lid off the pressure cooker that is America — we just don’t know what it will be.
A recent headline noted that Americans are about to truly feel the effects of Donald’s insanity and the mayhem brought on by an Epstein cover-up and Republican “leadership.” What has been envisioned is about to become lived experience as costs for health, food, education, public safety and national security fall solely on the shoulders of the 90%, costs that are supposed to be appropriated by our legislature from fair taxation so all have an equal chance to thrive.
The Legislative branch, the mechanism for appropriating taxes, for passing laws to regulate industry, health and safety, for supporting the vulnerable and keeping the air breathable is closed for business. The Executive thinks he’s King and yet is insane and unable to administrate his way out of his own delusions of grandeur. The Judiciary is starting to look like a portrait of Dorian Gray, or Pam Bondi, metaphorically speaking. you get the picture
Reminds me of the old punchline, “Aside from that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play? “ With every attempt we see at deflecting, distracting, and re-directing by this administration, we hear “Aside from that, American People, how are you enjoying your Democracy?”
