James Comer, MAGA chairman of the House Oversight Committee, announced on Tuesday that the panel recommended to AG Pam Bondi a full investigation into former President Biden’s use of the autopen to grant pardons, claiming his “cognitive decline” was so severe that he didn’t know what he was doing.
Comer’s committee advised Bondi that the 4,245 presidential pardons and commutations should be placed under review and may be deemed invalid, potentially leading to the prosecution of those recipients, including Biden family members.
A 93-page report claims there was “a cover-up of the president’s cognitive decline” and “no record demonstrating President Biden himself made all of the executive decisions that were attributed to him.”
In 93 pages, the report does not include the names of anyone who did carry out President Biden’s duties, includes no testimony from Biden himself, and does not include transcripts of the testimonies of 14 Biden aides, only excerpts of interviews.
In July, James Comer admitted to using an autopen himself.
