GOP Rep. Don Bacon: "I don't think Secretary Hegseth would be foolish enough to make this decision to say, 'Kill everybody. Kill the survivors,' because that's a clear violation of the law of war."

Trump Blurts Whopper-Riddled Riff To Claim ‘We Should Win Midterms In RECORD NUMBERS’
President Donald Trump blurted out some of his favorite whoppers in a post claiming that Republicans “should win the midterms IN RECORD NUMBERS!”
Trump has been fighting a battle over “affordability” since the Election Day bloodbath, insisting concerns over prices are a “con job,” and repeatedly claiming he’s already solved the issue. A raft of new new polls show Trump getting clobbered on the economy — a potential indication voters aren’t convinced he’s particularly expert on the issue.
The president took another shot at combating the issue in a Truth Social post Saturday morning that relied on false claims about drug prices to proclaim “I AM THE AFFORDABILITY PRESIDENT”:
Trump’s Approval Rating Drops to 36%, New Second-Term Low
President Donald Trump’s job approval rating has fallen five percentage points to 36%, the lowest of his second term, while disapproval has risen to 60%. The latest decline follows three months of stability, with 40% to 41% of Americans expressing approval of his handling of the presidency. His prior second-term low point in approval was a statistically similar 37% in July, and his all-time low was 34% in 2021, at the end of his first term after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

Welker: "The judge wanted to ensure that people were given due process…Did you defy the court's order?" Kristi Noem: "No. That's one of the things we continue to face across the country are activist judges."

Judge weighs potential contempt prosecution referral for Kristi Noem in El Salvador deportations
A federal judge has ordered declarations from all government officials involved in the decision to send more than 100 Venezuelan men to El Salvador in March to determine whether Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem or anyone else should be referred for potential contempt prosecution.
The move comes after a court filing from Trump administration lawyers on Tuesday said that Noem directed their removal despite a federal judge ordering deportation planes turned around.
The order comes after the Department of Justice said in a court filing last week that Noem directed the deportation flights to continue despite the federal judge’s order to return the planes to the U.S.
Bondi: "Yes, we are bringing in our National Guard to every city we possibly can who needs our help. And that's a lot of them."
