A core ritual of Seinfeld’s holiday Festivus is the Airing of Grievances, where you tell your family and friends all the ways they have disappointed you over the past year, famously started with “I’ve got a lot of problems with you people!”
This week in Phoenix, the conservative star influencers who gathered at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest appeared to take a page from the secular holiday, without the unifying force of master debater Charlie Kirk at the helm of the organization.
Instead of focusing on their common enemy, the woke left, influencers at Turning Point’s AmericaFest were turning on each other, accusing members of the movement of being “frauds,” “a cancer,” and “pompous.”
Ben Shapiro on Thursday ignited some MAGAt butts with flamethrowers, complaining about frauds and grifters, specifically Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson, Megyn Kelly, and called Steve Bannon “a former P.R. flack for Jeffrey Epstein.”
The clip below compiles Shapiro’s daggers for those “just asking questions” conspiracy theorists, pointing out they really don’t want answers.
And then one by one, they responded.
Tucker mocked Ben, calling him pompous.
Bannon called Ben a cancer on the movement.
Megyn Kelly, in a segment onstage with influencer Jack Posobiec, said, βHe thinks heβs in a position to decide who must say what to whom and when, so I donβt think we are friends anymore.β
On Friday, there was Vivek Ramaswamy, who is still running for governor in Ohio, who was contradicting JD Vance’s theory of “heritage Americans” — those who have generations of ancestors in America — having more claim to the country than those with more recent immigration history.
Vivek skewered it as βun-American at its coreβ and βabout as loony as anything the woke left has actually put up.β
In July, VP JD spoke against βimporting millions and millions of low-wage serfs.”
After several days of infighting, Benny Johnson had seen enough and tried herding those cats.
JD Vance will have his glittering moment on Sunday when he is scheduled to speak, fresh off an endorsement for the 2028 presidential election from Charlie Kirk’s grieving, sparkly-pantsuited widow.
