Trump Accepts Unearned Nobel Prize Medal from Machado

Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado told reporters on Thursday that she presented Trump with her Nobel Peace Prize medal during her meeting with the wanna-be dictator in the Oval Office.

The Nobel Committee said earlier this month that a Nobel prize “cannot be revoked, shared, or transferred to others. The decision is final and stands for all time.”

Machado said she presented the medal to Trump “as a recognition for his unique commitment with our freedom.”

It wasn’t certain whether Trump accepted the medal, but later this afternoon Fox News confirmed that he accepted and kept it.

Machado received the award for what the Norwegian Nobel Committee described as “her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy.”

Trump has not shown support for Machado to become the acting president of Venezuela since the capture of Maduro.
