The Gestapo will soon arrive in Ohio to terrorize an estimated 12,000 to 15,000 Haitians whose temporary protected status will end on February 3, 2026. Last year, ICE Barbie terminated temporary protected status for Haiti. In total, an estimated of more than 330,000 Haitian immigrants living in the Untied States will lose their protected status next week.
Even Ohio’s Republican Governor Mike DeWine has issues with the (mis)administration’s decision to terrorize Ohio:
According to county records, Springfield has about 58,000 people, and around 15,000 of them are Haitian. Springfield experienced a surge of legal Haitian immigrants because of its low cost of living, available work and emerging Haitian community. City leaders said the Haitian community contributes to the economy and culture of Springfield.
Most Haitian immigrants arrived with Temporary Protected Status, a designation given to a country that allows refugees to legally stay in the U.S. because the government determined their country is too unsafe to return to. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem said although “certain conditions in Haiti remain concerning,” the U.S. determined the country no longer needs TPS designations.
Q: When will we see ICE in Springfield, Ohio? TRUMP: We're gonna see what's happening. Springfield is not a happy place with what they did. I won Springfield, but during the Biden administration they did great damage to Springfield
