Trump’s Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick previously stated that he wanted nothing to do with his neighbor Jeffrey Epstein after 2005, but documents in the DOJ files reveal that Lutnick and Epstein were in business together as late as 2014 — six years after Epstein’s Florida plea deal for soliciting prostitution of a minor.
CBS News broke the story. Weird.
Epstein files show Lutnick and Epstein signing onto the same business deal in late 2012, granting each a stake in a now-defunct advertising tech company called Adfin.
The two signed this deal just two days after meeting each other in person, according to e-mails. And later in 2013, documents were forwarded to Lutnick from Epstein’s assistant regarding casino legislation on Little St. James Island. Further correspondence with Epstein and his associates continued into 2014 between Adfin and the venture capital arm of Cantor Fitzgerald—where Lutnick served as Chairman and CEO.
Even in 2017, Epstein donated $50,000 to a dinner honoring Lutnick.
