Day One Came and Went Long Ago:

The look on Maria’s face says a lot. She seems to be facing the reality that Trump is cooked and we’re in deep shit.

Trump says oil and gas prices could be ‘a little bit higher’ or ‘around the same’ ahead of midterms

Trump said in an interview on Fox’s “Sunday Morning Futures” that oil and gas prices could be “a little bit higher” or “around the same” ahead of the midterm elections.

Asked by anchor Maria Bartiromo whether he believed that the price of oil and gas would be lower before the midterm elections, Trump said, “I hope so.”

“I mean, I think so,” he said. “It could be, it could be or the same, or maybe a little bit higher, but it should be around the same. I think this won’t be that much longer.”

Oil and gas prices have swelled since the start of the war.

A face plant. A very revealing one. Prominent Republican member of Armed Services Committee. He betrays absence of Congressional oversight. Brennan also asked Turner about absence of any public hearings. His answer was aaaawful (that they've held hearings in past decades).

World News:

Hungary election: Viktor Orbán and Péter Magyar in close race with polls closing soon

• Close-run election: Polls will close shortly in Hungary as voters choose between incumbent right-wing populist Victor Orbán’s Fidesz party and opposition leader and former Orbán loyalist Peter Magyar’s Tisza. Analysts say the country’s gerrymandered electoral system could see a tight result.

• Trump ally: The nationalist, pro-Russian Orbán, in power for 16 years and seeking his fifth straight election win, has been endorsed by US President Donald Trump and hailed as a model for the rest of Europe by Trump administration officials.

In contention: Hungary’s parliament, known as the National Assembly, has 199 seats, all of which are up for grabs today.
