A Jan. 6 Capitol riot participant and a self-described “MAGA” influencer were among hundreds of people arrested in an undercover, multi-day operation in Polk County, Florida, announced on Friday by Sheriff Grady Judd.
“Well, I’m gonna give him some content for social media. He was a previous felon who straightened up β really what we wanna see in life. Now he’s an influencer,” Judd said shortly before presenting a photo of Long standing next to Trump. “He moves in big circles. Even with the president. We like the fact that he likes the cops. Heck, he liked them so much, he got caught up in a sting and got to be ripping up and real close with the cops,” Judd added. “He appreciates law enforcement. Well, there you go, you got arrested in the human trafficking sting. Influence that for a while.”
In operation “Polk Around and Find Out,” a total of 266 people were arrested, with 247 of those being focused on illegal acts related to prostitution and human trafficking. Nineteen suspects were arrested for a multitude of felonies, including traveling to meet a minor for sex and similar crimes.
