Trump Cancels Signing of Housing Bill Until He Gets His Voter Suppression Bill Passed

In a very rare moment, Congress passed a bipartisan bill to make homeownership more affordable. The bill, called the 21st Century Road to Housing Act, passed 358-32 in the House. The Senate approved it Monday with similarly overwhelming bipartisan support. The Act would have limited investors from buying up properties to rent out. If an investor owned 350 properties, they would not be able to buy more if Trump signed this bill into law.

The Act would have also streamlined some of the regulations homebuilders must follow to get existing federal financing without offering any additional financing.

But, the Worst President Ever just threw one of his major hissy fits and cancelled his plans to sign the legislation until his voter suppression bill, the Save America Act, which would overhaul elections in all 50 states and add new proof of citizenship and voter ID requirements.

Trump is refusing to sign a bipartisan bill that would address the housing crisis unless the SAVE America Act (designed to rig elections) is passed. This isn't governing, it's a hostage situation. Republican, Dem, or Independent this should piss you off.

Trump has 10 days to sign or veto a bill, giving Congress little time to pass the SAVE America Act, which is widely opposed by Democrats and voting-rights advocates, before the clock runs out.

How evil can he get? Trump is refusing to sign our bipartisan housing bill until Congress passes his voter suppression bill.

LMAO — GOP Rep. French Hill is literally right now during a news conference touting the bipartisan housing bill and the president's support for it, unaware that Trump moments ago angrily announced he won't sign it

Mike Johnson talks about President Trump like he's a toddler: "The president, when we go through the details of the bill, he's gonna understand it's a good product and something that fulfills his promises"
