E. Jean Carroll Gets Her $5.6 Million From Trump

After three years of delays, E. Jean Carroll received a $5.625 million payment awarded as damages in 2023 as a result of Trump sexually assaulting her and then defaming her.

A jury awarded Carroll $5 million and the rest reflects interest earned in three years.

“Three years ago, a unanimous nine-person jury found President Trump liable for sexually assaulting and defaming E. Jean Carroll,” Carroll’s attorney Roberta Kaplan said in a statement to NPR. “Today, we are pleased to report that she has received the damages payment the jury awarded her as a result of that verdict.”

A larger $83.3 million payment Trump still owes Carroll is in limbo as the slimeball attempts to delay payment through more court appeals.

So far the courts have upheld the payment.
