Inflation eased to 3.5% in June, just before energy prices spiked again
“This decline in the all items index was the largest 1-month decrease since April 2020,” the Bureau of Labor Statistics said.
But even as other costs fell, food prices climbed higher over the month. “Four of the six major grocery store food group indexes increased in June,” BLS said in its report.
