OHIO! Armed Lunatic Lunges at Gubernatorial Candidate Dr. Amy Acton at Canfield Fair Near Boarded Up Youngstown

A lunatic armed with two handguns and a set of brass knuckles lunged at Ohio gubernatorial candidate Dr. Amy Acton injuring two people inside the Democratic Party’s tent at the Canfield Fair near boarded up Youngstown, Ohio.

According to Mahoning County Sheriff’s office, Dr. Acton was speaking inside the Democratic Party’s tent when the armed lunatic, 38-year-old Patrick Havas of Canfield, Ohio, rushed into the tent and approached Acton, causing nearby officers to jump into action to knock him to the ground and arrest him. At the time of the incident, Havas had recorded his lunacy with his cell phone. He never brandished his weapons but police later booked him on charges of assault and disorderly conduct.

Vivek Ramaswamy, who is Acton’s Republican opponent in the Ohio gubernatorial race, was among the many political leaders who released a statement condemning the altercation in the hours after it happened.

“Candidates should be able to meet with voters without having to worry about threats or violence. What happened today is completely unacceptable and has no place in politics, and we hope that no one was hurt,” said Connie Luck, Ramaswamy’s campaign communications director.

According to recent polls, Acton and Ramaswamy are in a dead heat to become Ohio’s next governor.
