CNN, MSNOW, and Politico back on the job?
Journalists for CNN, MS NOW and Politico were supposed to be back on White House grounds Thursday, after the Trump administration tried playing footsie with the law.
But it sure doesn’t look like pool coverage has resumed at the White House:
CNN reported the five major networks that make up the pool – CNN, Fox News, ABC, CBS and NBC – are still waiting for confirmation from the White House that CNN will be let back into the pool.
JD Maybelline strikes again:
JD leaked info to Politico that he later claimed threatened national security. SHOCKER!
The White House sent Politico a letter blasting its use of anonymous sources and accused it of publishing articles that “threatened national security and/or spread falsehoods.”
Politico had cited a “senior administration official” in June who estimated the chances of the U.S. striking a deal to end the Iran war at between 80% and 85%.
Vance made the comments on a WH call where journalists were told to keep JD’s name OUT OF THEIR MOUTHS, and instead use “senior administration official.”
Bi-Partisan Bill for Federal Tax Credits to Make Hollywood Great Again:
Lawmakers in Washington plan to introduce legislation that would provide at least a 20% tax credit to filmmakers, actors, directors, camera operators and makeup artists who create movies and TV shows.
The bill is sponsored by Tim Scott and Adam Schiff in the Senate, and in the House by Texas R Nathaniel Moran and Democrat Linda Sanchez of California. MAGA actor Jon Voight has been touting the virtues of such a bill.
Also in Hollywood, the Paramount Skydance win for MAGA-friendly David Ellison would concentrate power across Hollywood’s film, TV, streaming and news businesses.
Paramount now intends to stay in California.
