Homeland Security Goons conducted a search on Representative Ilhan Omar’s D.C. residence as part of a criminal investigation according to people familiar with the matter.
Omar, one of the first Muslim women elected to Congress, has been a frequent critic of Trump and his immigration crackdown. Omar was born in Somalia before moving to the United States in the 1990s.
Earlier this year, Trump’s border czar, Tom Homan, had said the administration was investigating Omar over allegations — made by the president without evidence — that she married her brother to get U.S. citizenship.
At the time, Omar reacted to the news, saying the probe was launched “because they are sick.”
