In a post on his shithole, ‘Truth’ Social, Trump stated he canned his embattled homeland security secretary, Kristi Noem, on Thursday and announced plans to replace her with Senator Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma, after she was grilled by Republican lawmakers this week at congressional hearings on a variety of topics, including her knowledge of a lucrative advertising contract.
Noem is the first Cabinet member of Trump’s administration to depart this term. Last year, Mike Waltz left his cabinet-level post as national security adviser after Trump nominated him to become U.N. ambassador.
