A Wall Street Journal report is recounting how Trump’s cabinet members, advisers, and visiting allies are being gifted mainstream Florsheim shoes by the President.
One female White House official observed wryly: “All the boys have them.” Another added: “It’s hysterical because everybody’s afraid not to wear them.”
Rubio and Vance received their Florsheims after a December meeting in the Oval Office.
“Marco, JD, you guys have s—y shoes,” said the US president, consulting a catalogue and asking their shoe size. Rubio said 11.5 and Vance 13. Trump leaned back in his chair and remarked: “You can tell a lot about a man by his shoe size.”
Trump has also turned to guessing shoe sizes, has an aide order them, and pays for them himself. Upon arrival, the shoes are delivered to the lucky recipient with a hand-written note of thanks from Trump. The shoes retail for about $145.
Hegseth and Howard Lutnick have also joined the club along with Sean Hannity and Tucker Carlson, along with Lindsey Graham and others.

Florsheim Shoe Company was founded in Chicago in 1892 and is owned by parent company Weyco Group, Inc. — who is suing the administration over tariffs.
Weyco filed a lawsuit in the U.S. Court of International Trade in December, challenging the legality of Trump’s tariffs and seeking refunds for duties it says were unlawfully collected.
