In order to stay in power, Republicans have crafted a bill that would suppress many US citizens’ right to vote but would definitely guarantee Republicans retain a stronghold on all branches of our government for generations. Of course, our Pedophile in Chief backs this bill and has threatened any and every Republican who votes against it with a primary challenger. Trump has long railed — falsely — about widespread voting by non-U.S citizens but like most of his claims, it does not exist.
Trump’s threats have angered several GOP senators who think it’s poorly drafted and has no chance of passing. They say threats to punish them for not rallying behind the bill will only backfire as the party heads into a midterm election facing strong political headwinds, such as Trump’s low approval ratings and voter dissatisfaction over inflation and the economy.
Several US senators, including retiring Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC), were outraged by Senator Mike Lee (Idiot-Utah) recent tweet about the voter suppression bill:
“Circular firing squads never end well,” said Sen. Thom Tillis (R-N.C.), who says the bill needs more work and has questioned the endgame for passing the bill when Democrats are vowing to block it with a filibuster.
“To me, it’s disingenuous to say we’re going to go out here and we’re going to bring the bill, make [its virtues] apparent to the American people, and then he’s (Trump) out there the night before we’re about to go on the bill and threatening primaries for people who don’t get on board for something he knows he doesn’t have support for,” Tillis said.
If the SAVE GOP’s Asses bill fails, several states have already introduced legislation that mirror this voter suppression bill:

Jessica Tarlov explained The Save America Act as her co-workers mocked her and shouted over her. The rules would make it especially difficult for married and divorced women as enhanced ID rules have strict requirements for name changes.

What’s the big deal?
Doesn’t every American already have a passport or birth certificate?
The short answer is no, definitely not. And that’s why this could be one of the most destructive voter suppression bills in modern US history.
Research shows us that:
- Over 21 million voting-age US citizens — nearly 1 in 10 eligible voters nationwide — lack easy access to documents that the SAVE Act would require to register and stay registered to vote.
- 150 Million Americans do NOT have a passport, and many also don’t have access to a copy of their birth certificate.
- Over 60 million American women have changed their name after marriage and don’t have a birth certificate that matches their current legal name — like Linda.
Risk of Voter Roll Purges:
The SAVE Act bills will also increase the likelihood of being wrongfully purged from state voter rolls. The bill includes measures that would mistakenly flag lawfully registered US citizen voters as ineligible and allow states to purge their voter rolls without notifying voters before removing them. This would mean already-registered Americans wouldn’t know they were removed from the rolls until they showed up to vote and learned they were no longer registered.

Musk Whips Up Frenzy Against Thune Over Voter ID Bill
The billionaire Elon Musk is furiously pushing on social media for Senator John Thune, the majority leader, to pass the SAVE America Act. But so far, he hasn’t publicly spent money to promote the bill.
States where President Trump performed best in 2024 have the lowest number of citizens with valid passports.
