Terms on the Trump Mobile website have changed, indicating that the gold-colored Trump phones, “designed with American values in mind” and “shaped by American innovation,” may never be coming at all.
Eric and Don Jr. announced the signature offering in June 2025, a T1 phone for users of the Trump Mobile wireless plan, and began taking $100 deposits for the phones, which were advertised for a “promotional price” of $499.
Despite an original ship date of August 2025, the phones have not shipped yet. The website now directs customers to a waitlist for a phone that looks slightly different than the original.
“Estimated ship dates, launch timelines, or anticipated production schedule are non-binding estimates only,” reads a portion of the terms and conditions, directly under a header reading “No Guarantee of Release, Delivery or Timing.”
The website also indicates the phone may never be coming.
“Trump Mobile does not guarantee that: the Device will be commercially released; regulatory approvals (including FCC authorization) will be obtained; carrier certification will be secured; production will commence or continue; or delivery will occur within any specific timeframe,” the terms and conditions read.
A report from International Business Times estimates that around 600,000 MAGAts put $100 deposits on the Trump phones, while the Trump Mobile website says customers can request a refund if they choose to not wait for their phones — which also are not guaranteed at the low, low promotional cost of $499.
