Trump Has Plans for Kharg Island Invasion

In this mornings Truth Social narrative, Trump says he has plans to attack Iran tonight, and in the future he plans to “take” Kharg Island and infrastructure points to take control of Iran’s oil and gas markets.

Kharg Island handles about 90% of Iran’s oil exports, making it their economic lifeline.

Trump then went on Fox News’ Fox and Friends to gauge the public’s reaction to his threats, and to brag about how much money could be made, and how he knew that America didn’t really have the stomach for boots on the ground.

Trump: "My preference has always been to take Kharg Island. I don't know that America has the stomach for it, to be honest with it. You'd make a fortune."

He also proved again that Barack Obama lives rent free in his head, and that ratings in the press is a priority.

Trump: "Behind the scenes I must tell you Iran can't believe the press they get. They can't even believe it. And they told me. They said, 'It's amazing how well we're doing in the papers. We're not doing so well–' They're negotiating with us to make a deal."

CNN is reporting that Iran has been preparing for a Kharg Island invasion by laying traps on the island with anti-personnel and antiarmor mines, including along the shoreline that US troops could enter if Trump did announce an on-the-ground-mission.

It is also moving shoulder-fired, surface-to-air guided missile systems known as MANPADs to the island

In real time, Trump’s pronouncements of war sent Brent crude futures higher.
