Punchbowl News has reported that Mitch McConnell was transported to a hospital after he was found unconscious at his home in Washington on June 14.
A dispatcher sent an Advanced Life Support ambulance to transport the fossilized 84-year-old former GOP senate leader to George Washington Hospital.
The following audio has not been independently verified.
McConnell’s office has given the public very few details of Turtle’s health status following an initial statement on June 14 that the Kentucky Senator was receiving “excellent care.” The McConnell office has not confirmed whether he was still hospitalized.
On June 22, his office issued a statement saying he was “working closely with staff on Senate business and Kentucky matters as he continues his recovery.” Later one of his staff members said that he was recovering and working with staff. The same staff said McConnell would not be voting during that week.
The Senate is currently on leave and will reconvene on July 13.
There have been no updates regarding his condition nor any prognosis.
