Darline Graham Wins South Carolina Primary

Lindsey Graham’s sister Darline has won the Republican primary in South Carolina over five-term Congressman Ralph Norman. She will face Democratic candidate Annie Andrews, a pediatrician, in November, in a race considered a solid Republican stronghold.

Trump’s Maga Inc Super Pac spent more than $800,000 in support of his rubber stamp candidate during the campaign.

lol. What can you say. South Carolina Republicans want a Trump rubber stamp and that’s what they’ll get for now

Darline spent a short campaign digging out from a gaffe she made during a debate in which she described herself as “not that informed on national security … but I do support the military.”

In a victory speech on Tuesday evening, Darline disparaged her opponent’s support of affordable government run healthcare as a bad idea, noting her parents were hard workers who just went to work when they were sick. Her parents were both dead when Darline was 12.

The sister of long time Senator Lindsey Graham was formerly a career civil servant who was head of South Carolina’s Commission for the Blind, likely elected because she will blindly support Trump and vote the way she is instructed.

Ralph Norman, one of the most conservative members of Congress as a Freedom Kook, leaned hard into MAGA during his campaign, including calling for the jailing of Dr. Anthony Fauci.

However, Norman conceded he couldn’t overcome the backing of Trump the Great, who got boos from the crowd when it was mentioned that Trump invested heavily in Darline the Dingbat’s campaign. Norman had backed former South Carolina Governor Darling Nikki in 2024, but pushed back against the booing of Trump stating he had “great policies.”
