On Thursday morning, the United States Supreme Court blocked an attempt by Missouri officials to use a newly drawn, GOP-friendly congressional map for this year’s mid-term elections.
With no noted dissents, the court issued a brief order that granted an emergency request brought by a group called People Not Politicians, led by activist Richard von Glahn.
“The law is the law, the Missouri constitution is clear, as was the Missouri Supreme Court,” von Glahn said in a statement.
The SCOTUS decision puts on hold a Trump appointed federal judge’s order to use gerrymandered maps that would in all likelihood eliminate one of two Democratic seats in Missouri.
Meanwhile, the rogue GOP Secretary of State Denny Hoskins is currently in a hearing with the Missouri State Supreme Court, facing contempt for his shenanigans.
