In what the New Republic described as a “Dumpster Fire Interview,” Ohio man and unfortunately, the vice president of the United States, JD Vance appeared on the All-In podcast this week with a weird message to voters just ahead of the 2026 midterm elections:
“There’s a lot of good that’s been done, but there’s a lot of work left to do. Don’t give power to the people who cause the problems that we’re fixing. Give us another chance, or give us another couple of years, to continue to work on the amazing things that we’ve been doing for the past two years.”
Obviously, JD appears aware of just how unpopular this (mis)administration is with the American voters and public as a whole, but still tried to defend their failed policies. But what the weirdo failed to mention was their failed policies have resulted in the American people spending over $100 billion more at the gas pump since the war began seven months ago. (He also neglected to mention that oil was flowing just fine before Trump started his war of choice.) And of course, he went on to blame President Biden for all their issues.
If Vance is trying to engender support for his historically unpopular party come November, “it could be worse” and “can we have redo?” are not exactly inspiring rallying cries.
“Rome wasn’t built in a day,” Vance said.
