Hegseth Throws Admiral Bradley Under the Boat at Cabinet Meeting

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth defended Adm. Frank Bradley threw Adm. Frank Bradley under a sinking boat over the decision to carry out a second strike on an alleged drug trafficking boat in September that killed two people.

“I wish everybody could be in the room watching our professionals, professionals like Adm. Frank Bradley and others,” Hegseth said.

Hegseth said he made the call on the first strike on Sept. 2 and that he watched the first strike live, but did not stick around for the second strike and learned of it a couple of hours later.

Maybe he had to go touch up his makeup?

“Adm. Bradley made the correct decision to ultimately sink the boat and eliminate the threat,” he said. “It was the right call. We have his back.”

Sure, Jan.

Hegseth said he didn’t personally see survivors through “the fog of war,” which the press doesn’t understand.

We can’t handle the truth!

The Defense Department’s Law of War Manual uses shooting shipwrecked survivors as an example of an illegal order that service members are obligated to refuse.

The manual also states that those “who have been incapacitated by wounds, sickness, or shipwreck are in a helpless state, and it would be dishonorable and inhumane to make them the object of attack.”
