Jack Smith is Warning About the Midterm Elections

Former special counsel Jack Smith, who prosecuted Trump over the 2020 elections and classified documents, warned MSNOW viewers about his concerns for the upcoming midterm elections.

When Nicole Wallace asked if the public was facing a real-time assault on the upcoming elections, Jack Smith said, “I’m very concerned of what’s going to happen in the next election, absolutely.”

JACK SMITH: "We did this case the way I've done cases throughout my career. You prove what happened, you prove the intent, and you're thoughtful about what the defense is going to be. And we did that (in the Trump case)."

Smith said under Trump, “We are facing an attack on the rule of law.”

Smith also said that “it angers me” to see career officials at the Department of Justice “demonized” by the Trump administration for their work on cases that are seen as hostile to the president and his allies.
