Fauci’s Diary Reveals What Barack Obama Really Thought Of Donald Trump And Donald Trump Jr.
The former president apologized to Fauci “for using crude language” but then tore into Donald Trump, according to the diary.
Former President Barack Obama privately slammed Donald Trump as a “hopeless idiot” and a “pathologic[al] liar” and called his successor’s son, Donald Trump Jr., a “fucking moron” during a phone call with Dr. Anthony Fauci at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, according to Fauci’s COVID-era diary.
Fauci, who was then director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the Biden White House’s chief medical adviser, wrote in a Nov. 4, 2021, diary entry that Obama called him on his cellphone and, during an “incredibly memorable” 25-minute conversation, offered “to help in any way that he can” as Fauci faced an “onslaught of slanderous lies” from the political right.

State News:
UCLA economists: California’s economy growing faster than the nation
The latest UCLA Anderson Forecast finds the California economy is growing faster than the nation, though this hasn’t been reflected in new hiring.
The forecast released early Wednesday estimates California’s fourth-quarter growth at 3.8% annualized, well above the initial 1.4% U.S. GDP estimate.
“The state has now grown faster than the nation for four consecutive quarters,” the UCLA economists noted.
However, payroll employment declined in 2025, marking the first sustained contraction since the pandemic. The unemployment rate has remained above 5% for nearly two years, and as of December stood at 5.5%.
California’s economy isn’t just bigger than Texas and Florida — it’s growing faster, too
For years, politicians in Texas and Florida have built an entire political brand around attacking California. But when it comes to economic performance, the results keep telling a different story — confirming what we have known in California for years: California’s economy has no peers.
A new analysis using U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis data shows California posted one of the nation’s strongest quarterly growth results, far outpacing Texas and Florida, while reinforcing its position as the world’s fourth-largest economy and America’s economic engine. California’s economy grew at a 3.7% annualized pace in the first quarter of 2026 — its best quarterly growth ranking since 2013 and one of the fastest growth rates in the nation. Meanwhile, Texas grew just 0.9% and Florida 1.6% during the same period.
Since Governor Newsom took office, California’s annual GDP has grown by more than $1.18 trillion, reaching $4.25 trillion in 2025. First-quarter 2026 economic output reached an annualized $4.4 trillion, following annual GDP gains exceeding $200 billion in each of the previous two years.
