Trump’s former personal attorney Todd Blanche offered a new deal on Sunday night that might be enough to get him through the nomination process to become the official Attorney General of the US.
GOP Senators John Cornyn and Thom Tillis were blocking the Blanche nomination by demanding the acting AG rescind in writing the $1.8 billion anti-weaponization slush fund, and limit the scope of audit immunity for the Trump family and organization.
Both provisions were part of a fake “settlement” Trump filed against his own government.
On Sunday, Blanche released two documents:
One was a signed memo that the DOJ was rescinding an order that would have created a slush fund for pro-Trump criminals, and the other was an unsigned memo that limited audit immunity to Trump, two of his sons, and the Trump Organization for previous audits only — that stipulated future tax audits would not apply to the agreement.

Protection from even previous audits could add up to a $100 million benefit for the Trumps, and is unprecedented and potentially illegal as a benefit to a sitting president.
